After seeing his remarkable run of 25 consecutive wins ended by teammate Iker Lecuona in Saturday's Race 1, Bulega responded in the best possible way. The Italian set the pace in Sunday morning's Warm Up before taking victory in the Tissot Superpole Race and completing the weekend with another commanding performance in Race 2.
The turning point of the day came in the 10-lap Superpole Race. Lecuona made another superb start and quickly built an early advantage, only for his race to end with a crash from the lead on Lap 2. Bulega inherited the fight at the front before passing Yari Montella to claim victory, while home favourite Sam Lowes delighted the crowd with a podium finish. The result also secured the WorldSBK Teams' Championship for Aruba.it Racing Ducati.
Race 2 saw Bulega convert pole position into the race lead, gradually pulling clear as the laps unfolded. Behind him, Lecuona produced one of the rides of the day, charging from P10 on the grid to P2. Montella completed another impressive podium to cap one of his strongest weekends of the season.
Further back, the Lowes brothers were involved in an entertaining battle for the top five before Sam slipped to seventh in the closing stages. Alex Lowes eventually finished fifth behind Bimota teammate Axel Bassani, while Garrett Gerloff took sixth.
Bulega's second victory of the day also carried extra significance for Ducati, sealing the 2026 Manufacturers' Championship after the Italian marque had already secured the Teams' crown earlier in the afternoon.
Saturday may have suggested the momentum was beginning to shift after Lecuona ended Bulega's winning streak, but Sunday's response left little doubt over who remains in control of this championship. Two victories, two championship titles for Ducati and another commanding display from Bulega ensured the championship leader left Donington with his authority firmly re-established.
