Part One Jack Miller and Hector Barbera - Assen 2015
The 2015 Dutch TT race was probably most remembered for the last corner incident with Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi, where the Italian went through the gravel to win the race. (To be featured in a later gallery flashback).
But the opening lap of the race saw a dramatic incident on the same corner between Jack Miller and the unfortunate Hector Barbera.

Jack Miller (43) attempts a late braking pass on Hector Barbera into the Gert Timmer chicane. However he is forced to sit up his bike to avoid collecting Alvaro Bautista's Aprilia. (Notice the lack of aero on these bikes).

Bautista has avoid being caught up in the chaos behind him but Barbera(8) cannot avoid hitting Miller and is now destined for the gravel.

Miller may have been able to avoid crashing but Barberas leg has now been caught in the back wheel of his Honda.

Miller can no longer avoid going down as the bike attempts to throw him off.

Stones fly everywhere as the momentum carries riders and bikes further into the gravel trap 

Miller looks to be heading for a painful landing as he flies through the air completely upside down.

Remarkably, both riders were unhurt with Barbera suffering only cuts and bruises to his leg. He later slammed Miller for his irresponsible attempt at a pass. Jack actually sat out the rest of the race with me at the marshall post and was shocked as he looked at these images on my camera.
